Medical technology metropolis: Forchheim in the focus of the industry

The medical technology sector is the most important production branch in the city of Forchheim.

With around 3,900 employees in the medical technology sector, Forchheim is at the top of the employment-intensive urban and rural districts in Bavaria. Measured in terms of jobs (absolute and relative), the business location of Forchheim is thus the largest and most important production location in the medical technology sector in Bavaria and thus has a unique economic position in Bavarian medical technology production.

In Forchheim, Siemens Healthineers AG manufactures computer tomographs and state-of-the-art angiography systems. In addition, the Healthcare IT division of Siemens Healthineers AG has been successively expanded in Forchheim in recent years.

The Medical Valley Forchheim sign is clearly visible, in red with white lettering at the top. The lower part of the sign is grey, and the name "HiroSakao" can be seen next to it, accompanied by a sign indicating the entrance to the car park.
